the grassy edge of an original floating island high above the clouds: a level meadow of short grass and wildflowers with a worn earth path, the ground ending in a rocky cliff edge across the far side beyond which a sea of white clouds stretches to the horizon, two other smaller floating islands with trees and hanging roots drifting in the far distance on the left and right, a weathered stone arch ruin at the left edge, a gnarled windswept tree at the right edge, and an empty patch of grass in the centre about four metres from the camera, well back from the cliff
